| Ramón del Castillo was born on 3 May 1985 in Las Palmas on Grand Canary. The youngest of three children, he was the first member of his family to take up music professionally.
Like most from the Canary Islands, Ramón has been into all kinds of water sports since he was a young boy. Until recently, he split his time between music and sailing, a sport in which he has won several national level competitions.
After coming 2nd in popular Spanish TV pop show, “Operación Triunfo III,” he was chosen to represent Spain at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. It was something that convinced him to dedicate himself exclusively to music. At just 18-years-old Ramón already has a clear idea of what the future has in store for him. |
