Max is just 22-years-old and a true musician. A drummer for several years, he fronts the funk band “Project 5” and it’s hard to believe he’s never taken singing lessons. However his expressive voice convinced not only the jurors (who included host and composer Stefan Raab, singer Thomas Anders and Joy Flemming) but also the audience of German television show “TV-Total’s” special “SSDSGPS” that he should represent Germany at Eurovision this year.
With his pop song “Can´t Wait Until Tonight” Max and producer/composer Stefan Raab will take part in the Eurovision Song Contest in Istanbul. In Germany’s preliminary selection show Max received 92% of the votes -- the clear winner.
Max was born in the southern German town of Waldshut near Freiburg and is currently studying for his high school exam. A solid education is very important to him. At the moment he has little time left for his favourite hobbies such as motocross, free-climbing and inline-skating. Music and school are his top priorities.
Max is heavily influenced by funk music and his idols include: Tower of Power, James Brown, Incognito, Nils Landgren und Maze. | | | |
